What file to edit in 2.5?? And where can the file be found?
March 30th, 2008 at 21:25
Hi Rasmus!
Thank you for your question. In 2.5 you have to edit the /wordpress/wp-admin/includes/media.php file. I have updated the installation page for all the other users.
Best wishes,Marekki.

What it I want it to watermark the image AFTER it is resized? For now it’s watermarking BEFORE the image is resized.

Hi Gustavo!
I’ll check this soon as possible. At the moment you can watermark the resized pictures wirth the watermark function Watermark-Dir, but i hope to find a way to watermark all resized copys of the uploaded picture.
Best wishes, Marekki.

Hey, I want to water mark my images on upload. I only want to watermark images. Is there a way to create a checkbox to watermark images on upload? Because not all images on my site are owned by me.

Hmmm. I use Watermark with WP 2.5.1 and have no problems. But the Watermark will be included only in the original picture. It will be not insert in Tumbnails or resized pictures. I’ll try to fix this.

Hi hema,
please look for the media.php file in /wordpress/wp-admin/includes not in /wordpress/wp-includes. This file exist thrice, but only the /wordpress/wp-admin/includes/media.php is correct.

Hello,
I would very much like for this plugin to work but I have had no luck so far.
I’ve edited both media.php files you suggest to insert code into, and I have setup everything as it should.
When I go to add the watermark to one of the images I have in my wp-content/images folder; absolutely nothing happens and when I go to view the image no watermark is present. I’ve double-checked and I have the piece of code inserted as per the installation instructions.
FYI I have not set it to apply the watermark to all present images – even then when I upload new ones the watermark is still not present.
I wish this one would work. I am using 2.5.1 – any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello Marekki,
Did you have any thoughts or input as per my comment above?
Thank you

hi Marekki
how do i automatically add watermark while the image is uploading or while writing the post. the way i’m doing it now is to go to watermark-dir, and manually add to the pics. any easier ways?
thanks in advance

Hi heasteadi,
you have to read the installation guide (steps 5 and 6)! If you’ll insert the piece of code and activating watermarking, the plugin will insert your logo/text in every picture that you will upload.
i hope this will help you.
Best Wishes,
Marekki.
