Easy install & upgrade

The latest version of Marekkis Watermark Plugin is now available directly from the plugin repository of WordPress.org. For installation you can visit the plugin-area of your blog and via search-form download and install the newest version. In the future you will be informed about updates by the update-manager of your blog. When a new version is available you can use the one-click update of wordpress for an easy upgrade.

    Hi Marekki,

    The latest version of your plugin is causing errors to show up in the plugin configuration screen for me, in the admin panel.

    Any idea what’s going on? Have you had other reports on this issue?

    Hi Geert,

    i found the problem. In two files i have used the old php shortcut "< ?" instead of "< ?php". This made problems only on XAMP-Systems.

    The fix is already checked-in in to the official wordpress.org repository. So you can now uninstall, remove files and install the new version (still 0.9) for a working plugin.

    Hi Marekki,

    since i upgraded to 0.9.2, i got an error. I can’t change the stempel.png image in ftp to insert my logo that i want for watermark. Each time i try to remplace it, it’s always the puv-blog logo that appears. It’s like i can’t change the file or something.

    Hi Jean,

    I’m sorry but I don’t have any idea about your problem. The simple change of the stempel.png file must change your logo. Did you check:

    a) if the new file on your server is really the right one? Please download this via ftp and open this file on your computer to be sure this is your new logo.
    b) if it is not a cache issue? Press F5 to be sure, the new created file will be showed, not the old one.
    c) if the new logo will be showed on pictures watermarked after upload or only while upload.

    I hope this will help, because I made no changes in this area since long time. Please feel free to contact me, if you have still this problem.

    ps. I know it’s a stupid work to change the stempel.png file after each update of this plugin. So I looking for the best way to keep this setting after update.

    I upgraded from 0.9.1 to 0.9.2 and it looks like you changed when the watermark is added to thumbnaiils. I liked the old way where the watermark was added before the thumbnail was generated so the watermark was scaled with the image. Now the watermark overwhelms the thumbnail since it is applied after the thumbnail generation and obscures the thumbnail itself.

    Hi SOMW,

    please use the 0.9.3 version. Now you can setup if what should be watermarked. Only the original file, only the thumbnails or both of them.
